I grew up in Wisconsin, the home of Penzeys Spices. But it wasn’t till a few years after I moved to Austin, Texas, that I started seeing ads for Penzey’s Spices on Facebook. I was surprised I hadn’t heard of them before. Then again, their main store was in a different part of Wisconsin. If you like to support companies with a conscience, check out Penzeys. At least sign up for their email list. The owner sends out interesting blog style emails, that typically come with a promo they’re advertising. Yes, they’re one of those companies that has chosen to “become political”.
They frequently offer a generous free gift with purchase item. However, since they got behind after briefly closing down during the pandemic, they aren’t offering many promotions, so they can catch up on orders. I happened to catch a rare promo that they offered by email. The two jars of Penzeys Revolution were free with any purchase. The two magnets and the sticker came for free as well. And they always throw in a free mini spice packet. I’ve gotten a different free mini spice packet every time I’ve ordered.
I don’t order from them all the time, and I typically order when they have a promo for a free item. Due to the current covid-19, they are about two weeks behind on shipping out the orders. But they are upfront about that when you place an order. But every time I’ve ordered, it shows up a day earlier than the tracking number says. Maybe that’s just UPS not wanting to deal with surepost, and just dropping it off anyway on their route?
